My Path to Yoga, Pilates and Nervous System Mastery
For twenty four years I have worked as a frontline paramedic, supporting people through some of the most intense moments of their lives. That clinical experience gave me a deep understanding of what stress really does to the body. Moreover, my own personal journey through people pleasing, isolation, and disconnection taught me something that no medical training ever could. That the patterns we learn to survive in, can become the very things that keep us stuck.
Over time, I began to notice something important. Many of the health challenges people face are not simply physical. In fact, they are often connected to long term patterns of chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation. The modern western lifestyle adds another layer. Processed foods, constant stimulation and a culture that rarely slows down all contribute to disconnection in the body and mind.
Although I understood the science of the nervous system through my medical training, I did not fully understand how an unhealthy nervous system affects your life. That changed when I began working with yoga, Pilates and nervous system practices. Through movement, breath and deep rest, I discovered that real change comes from the body, not the mind. I learned to trust myself again. I reconnected with what I actually needed and I stepped back into my own life.
Today, I bring together my 24 years of experience in emergency medicine with yoga, Pilates and nervous system education. I support people who are waking up to their patterns and ready to rewire. Together, we move from isolation into connection, from people pleasing into self trust, and from survival mode into calm sovereignty.
